What Autalo is

Autalo is an independent car rental comparison and travel information website. We show available rental cars, prices and rental conditions from our booking partner's live data, and publish guides about renting a car in different countries and cities.

Autalo does not own or operate rental vehicles, is not a rental company and does not take payments. Using Autalo is free.

Bookings are made with our partners

The car search and booking form on our pages are provided by our booking partner, Localrent. When you book, you do so under the booking partner's terms, which are shown in the booking form and in your confirmation. The rental contract for the car is concluded with the rental company named in the offer.

Questions about an existing booking, changes, cancellations and refunds are handled by the booking partner and the rental company. How this works is explained on Booking, payment and cancellation.

Prices, availability and information

Prices, availability and conditions come from our partners and can change at any time. Figures in our guides (for example typical prices, deposits or the share of offers with a condition) are based on regular checks of the booking partner's data and show the situation at the time of the check.

The price and conditions shown in the booking form before you confirm are the ones that apply. We work to keep our information accurate, but we cannot guarantee that every detail is complete, current or free of errors. Rules such as traffic laws or border requirements can change; check them with official sources before you travel.

How we make money

When you book a car through the search on our pages, the booking partner may pay us a commission. Commissions do not decide which cars we show or how we describe them.

Using the website

You may use Autalo for your personal, non-commercial travel planning. Please don't:

• use the website in a way that breaks the law or harms the website or other users;
• scrape or copy the website or its data in bulk, or overload it with automated requests;
• try to get unauthorised access to our systems or interfere with their security.

Content and trademarks

The texts, design, data compilations and the Autalo name and logo belong to Alto Media Limited or its licensors. You may share links to our pages and quote short parts with a link to the source. Other use needs our written permission. Names and trademarks of partners and rental companies belong to their owners.

Third-party services and links

Our pages embed services of third parties (such as the booking form) and link to other websites. These are run by their owners under their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for their content, availability or practices.

Liability

Autalo provides information and access to our partners' booking service. We are not a party to your booking or rental contract and are not responsible for the performance of the booking partner or the rental company, for example the condition of the car, deposits, damage claims or refunds.

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from the use of the website. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, such as liability for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or your mandatory rights as a consumer.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms when our service or the law changes. The date at the top shows the latest version. The version in force when you use the website applies.

Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of your country of residence and may bring a claim in its courts. If something goes wrong, please contact us first at support@autalo.com, and we will try to solve it.
