Is there a train or a flight?
Not by train. Wikipedia's Agadir entry puts the high-speed line from Marrakech at the land acquisition stage, with no opening date announced Source [1]. Supratours, a subsidiary of the railway operator ONCF, runs coaches to towns without a train Source [2].
A direct flight is not confirmed. Royal Air Maroc's Agadir page lists Casablanca, Dakhla and Rabat as example routes and none from Marrakech, but it shows three example fares, not a timetable Source [3].

A Transport Ministry order published on 23 July 2026 bars coaches in Marrakech from picking up or dropping off passengers anywhere but the Al Azzouzia intercity station, the Moroccan press reports Source [8]. The station opened on 24 July 2026 and replaced the Bab Doukkala station Source [9].

Over the Atlas: the Tizi n'Test road
The mountain alternative runs through Taroudant, roughly 70 to 80 km from Agadir Source [1] Source [11], and over the Tizi n'Test pass on the R203. Frommer's guidebook gives 170 km for the R203 between Marrakech and Taroudant and about 2,090 m for the pass Source [12].

The road is the A3, the Casablanca-Agadir motorway. Its Marrakech-Agadir section has two lanes each way and opened on 21 June 2010 Source [14].
Interchanges on the way, from the Agadir end, include Amskroud, Argana, Imintanount and Chichaoua. In Chichaoua province the road runs through the Zaouiat Aït Mellal tunnel, two tubes of 570 m each Source [15].
ADM's toll grid prices each Marrakech exit to Amskroud separately and by vehicle class, so the toll depends on the exit you use Source [19].
Night, checkpoints and papers
The UK Foreign Office warns that poor lighting makes night driving in Morocco dangerous, and that on motorways with no hard shoulder overloaded lorries and overtaking trucks are a risk Source [20]. Plan to be off the road by dark.
