Agadir airport or delivery to Taghazout

Taghazout is a surf village about 25 km north of Agadir. Check each offer for its hand-over location and delivery terms. One option is to pick up at Agadir Al Massira airport (AGA) on arrival, then drive up the N1 to Taghazout in about 45 minutes to an hour. Hand-over in the village, at Taghazout Bay or in Tamraght

The old village is a steep cluster of lanes down to the beach, so hand-over usually happens on the coast road or at the car park above the bay rather than at your guesthouse door. Taghazout Bay, the resort strip south of the village with hotels and a golf course, has proper car parks and hotel lobbies, which makes things easier. Tamraght and Aourir (Banana Village), a few minutes further south, work the same way. For delivery here, check availability and fees on the selected offer: give the driver an exact address or a map pin, plus a phone number that takes WhatsApp, so the car finds you without circling the lanes. Surf spots and day trips by car

A car is what turns a surf-camp stay into a proper road trip along this stretch of coast. North of the village: Killer Point, Boilers and the Cap Ghir lighthouse area, with Tamri further along the coast, and Imsouane's long right-hander about an hour to an hour and a half. South: Tamraght, Devil's Rock and Anza, followed by Agadir's souk and marina. Paradise Valley lies inland. Further afield, Essaouira is about two and a half hours up the coast, and some trips continue inland to Marrakech, both easily reached with a car picked up here or in Agadir. Ending the trip in Essaouira instead of returning to Taghazout is a one-way rental: agree the return town with the supplier when you book. Treat every time above as an estimate.

Surfboards, sand and the coast road

Ask the supplier before you book whether soft roof racks are available or boards travel inside the car, and check the offer for any cleaning charge, since wet suits and sand can leave a car needing more than a quick wipe-down. Give the board length and the number of passengers when you ask: folding seats for a board leaves less room for people and bags. If a rack is offered, ask whether it is allowed on that car and how the board must be secured. The N1 north of Agadir is a busy two-lane road shared with trucks, buses and people crossing to the beaches, so keep a steady pace rather than rushing between breaks.
