The Agafay desert and Lalla Takerkoust lake are the closest reach, about 40 minutes out, and a popular half-day trip with the Atlas foothills as a backdrop; the road there is sealed the whole way, so a lowered sedan manages it as easily as an SUV. Essaouira on the coast is a longer but easy run on good roads, and Casablanca is reachable by autoroute in a similar stretch of time. For something more dramatic, the Tizi n'Tichka pass over the High Atlas toward Ouarzazate is tarmac from end to end but winding and slow in places, best taken in daylight and at an easy pace in a car like this.
